Amazon is challenging the rest of big providers of music streaming services through launching its subscription based streaming service in the name of “Amazon Music Unlimited”.
Amazon clearly knows how challenging it is dominating the giants like Spotify and Apple in the industry here and now ultimately they are coming up with the relatively lower cost plan where subscriber has to pay $3.99 monthly for music streaming.
The subscribers of Amazon Music Unlimited are also going to access large media library for streaming songs on demand. Subscription cost is only $3.99 per month for the subscriber who owns Amazon’s Echo speakers, $7.99 monthly will be paid by one also using Amazon Prime shipping and video service. One has to $9.99 who does not use any of Amazon service and not its member.
However, members of Amazon Prime can enjoy the free access to limited music streaming plan.
Amazon is likely to be undercutting all of its competitors and reward its current members for using any of Amazon’s services. It also hints that Amazon has strategic plans for entering the music streaming industry to capture the market of millions of quality music lovers who can and cannot afford Apple and Spotify. They set monthly subscription as low as $9.99 in order to ensure that its competitor’s subscribers are switching to AMU.
Amazon’s Vice President has also stated that he hopes having thousands of subscribers in next few days by keeping the prices lower for Amazon Music Unlimited.
