They started operations being a web based Search Engine Company which used to be ranking the all websites and using the especially designed algorithms for it. After four years of its Incorporation, they introduced the email services in the name of “Gmail” and also bought Android in the year 2007. In the last ten years, Google could not limit itself within Android and search engine based services but keep introducing new products / services from web-based products to Development tools, Mobile Applications to Hardware including Google Chrome, Search Console, Translator Toolkit, Google TV, Google Keep, Drive, Google Plus, Google Sync, Hangouts and many more. How can we forget YouTube video sharing website, which got the huge success and enjoying millions of subscribers on monthly basis.

We are going to share with you Google’s failed projects which could not be managed by Google due to its highly diversified complex business operations.

Picasa

Picasa was online photo organizing software bought by Google in the year of 2004. After ten years, Google realized its wrong decision to acquire Picasa operations and retired it to continue with Google Photos launched last year. Google Photos is a platform where its users can save own photos on cloud storage and also provided with unlimited backup for saving own photos and videos.

Google Helpouts

Google Helpouts was launched in 2013 with the aim providing an opportunity to the people where they can share their expertise via live stream. It was good platform to provide the people an opportunity for learning in real time. Google had to shut it down after they realized they could not look after it any more.

Google Glass

Google glass was a gadget which was designed in the similar shape of eyeglasses and people used to be wearing it for seeing the displayed information on it. According to its project manager, wearer could see the display in Google glasses what was actually being displayed on the connected Smartphone and he could also communicate to give command or input through verbally. Google also closed down its operations due to unknown reasons but industry experts believed it happened due to own mismanagement.

Bump

Bump was the mobile sharing app available on both platforms Android and IOS. It enables the users to share their photos and videos with each other. Bump was also bought by Google but soon they decided to quit with the app and gave its users 30 days to remove all personal photos and videos from the server before it went proof.

Buffer Box

Google bought the operations of “Buffer Box” and started parcel storage services in 2012. Soon, they could not manage the operations due to its complex nature requires physical service delivery while Google was already bombarded with dozens of other running projects and also had to shut down this one.

Google is one of the giant sized company with so many failed projects but still considered as successful company due to its existing successful projects including Android and Nexus.
