- How to hide stock apps on IOS 10
In IOS 10, you can remove the stock apps from your iPhone / iPad. “Remove” only means here hidden, it hides the files and not delete them from the system. Some of the stock apps must not be deleted from the system as it causes the system error and not allow loading other apps too. Therefore, you can hide apps in IOS 10 which means app icon will disappear from the Home screen. You need to be following these steps in the below.
a. You have to keep tapping the app icon and hold it for a while until starts wiggling, then it appears “x” on the top left of the app.
b. Tap on “x” for removing the app.
c. You will be appearing with confirmation message, select Remove. Go back to Home Screen now.
In case, deletion of app was by mistake and you want it back on the system, follow these steps.
- Launch the App Store.
- Type the App name which you want to be re-installed.
- Tap on the Cloud icon.
- Hiding Apps Using Restrictions
You need to follow these steps for enable restrictions.
- Go to IOS Settings -> General -> Restrictions
- You need to tap on “Enable Restrictions”.
- Now, you have to enter the restriction passcode, it needs to be confirmed once again.
- Congratulations, you Restriction feature should be enabled now.
You need to be disabling the toggle for stock IOS apps to hide them. You can also hide third party apps, just need to search the option of “Allowed Content” and tap it, now go to the Apps and now you can hide all those third party apps which you do not want other to see.
Once you have hidden the apps will not be revealed as long as you want to, even you restart the mobile will not make the hidden apps appears again. Furthermore, all hidden apps will not neither be shown on home screen and nor can be searched out from search bar. You can only get back hidden apps once again by disabling the restriction feature through using the passcode.
