Qualcomm has recently launched two processors in the name of Qualcomm Snapdragon 600E and 410E. These two processors are designed to facilitate and supports the applications which are related to embedded computing and IoT [Internet of Things]. 600E and 410E are the processors which are built on the Snapdragon 600 and 410 respectively. These two recently launched processors will be started making available worldwide through third-party distributors, currently going to start with Arrow Electronics.
Qualcomm official stated that these two new processors can be effectively used in various devices including POS (Point of Sales System), medical imaging, industrial robotics and IoT related applications. Qualcomm is going to make its Snapdragon processors available through the distributors for first time. Officials said they want to put the more focus on manufacturing the processors in different sizes and not divide the focus also taking the distribution responsibility.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 600E is featuring the 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Krait 300, it is coming with the Qualcomm Hexagon DSP and Qualcomm Adreno 320 GPU. It is also supporting numerous expandable storage options including DDR memory, SATA, eMMC storage and SD3.0. It also has various connectivitiy options through Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0/LE and GPS.
The features of Qualcomm Snapdragon 410E are its 1.2 quad-core CPU which also featuring the Adreno 306 GPU as well as Hexagon DSP. It is also supporting the various connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.1 L/E, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS and b/g/n.
